A little about me.
I cut my creative teeth bouncing around Minneapolis and Phoenix working for the state of Minnesota as a graphic designer and for Arizona Foothills magazine where I discovered my love of publishing. On my second stint in Minneapolis, I freelanced for several ad agencies, eventually designing for Caribou Coffee and D’Amico & Partners. Once I moved back to Iowa, I found a home at Meredith Corporation working on Better Homes & Gardens, Country Home and numerous Special Interest Publications.
During this time, I married my high school sweetheart and we welcomed our two kids. I made a career change from corporate to freelance to accommodate my husband’s job travel while raising our young family. As our kids grew up, I found myself helping with every youth activity we were involved in. From coordinating the Talking Canvas program in our elementary school to fundraising for youth triathlon to starting a youth rowing nonprofit — all led to new opportunities, lasting friendships and a love for my community.
My expertise includes branding and identity, art direction, publishing, event and trade show branding, illustration, video, social media and web design. I am passionate about collaboration, continuous growth and keeping the work as meaningful as the relationships behind it. At the heart of what I do is a belief that authentic storytelling connects people to brands in powerful ways and I love being part of that energy and momentum.
